Camp Conscious Punta Mita
If you follow me on the gram then you already know what I was up to last a month ago. I was in beautiful Punta Mita, Mexico. I took a leap of faith and went on a wellness retreat not knowing a single soul going. I had a feeling a retreat with like-minded women in the fitness or wellness industry I’d love everyone going.. and boy was I right! I met the most inspiring group of chicks ever! We all were so different but had one common goal-figuring out our career path! At camp we attended workouts, had acupuncture sessions, tarot card readings, and ate some incredible organic meals. It was the highlight of my year so far and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to go! Now let me go into a little more detail…
Punta Mita Toursim
Day 1: Travel Day
I arrived at the Grand Palladium and was immediately greeted with a delicious virgin mojito. Kendra Allen who helps founder Tayla Burke manage logistics of the trip gave us an incredible goodie bag upon checking in. All us girls became best friends honestly right away, we headed straight to the beach to feel the warm water and grab a cocktail. We then sat down and had dinner- talking boys, career, and everything in between.
Day 2: 1st Day of Camp
Holy shit!! Was exactly my thought when I woke up that Thursday morning. My roommate Morgan and I were stoked on life for our first day of camp. We arrived at Camp and started the morning off with a wellness workshop discussing vulnerability and setting intentions. We then made our way towards the beach to a beautiful Oceanside breakfast held by Ritual Vitamins. After lunch, we got ready to sweat and had an incredible cardo session with boss babe Aubre Winters. Once we finished our workout we had a zen yoga and meditation session led by Ava. After our workout we all lounged by the pool and munched on yummy organic frozen fruit. We also had an incredible fresh juice bar by Beam CBD. I felt so relaxed and incredible after my juice and we ended the day with a workshop on the rooftop with the topic on Fostering a Female Support System, of course, with a side of spicy margaritas.
Day 3: 2nd Day of Camp
Second Day of Camp we arrived and were all ready to rock! We started off the morning with a coffee bar courtesy of Frank Body coffee scrubs. After coffee and a gorgeous brunch we had a Nuface tutorial and an incredible rep tell us all about their story and values. The product is sensational and we all had a blast playing around with it. After taking care of our skin we spent sometime in the sun and ate another incredible meal made by Alfresko catering. All of us then headed out to the grass area and Megan Roup taught her class from Sculpt Society in NYC. It was so freakin fun and definitely challenged my coordination! Megan’s class incorporated her background in dance into an athletic cardio-based workout. This workout plus the 90 degree weather created quite the sweat session. In the afternoon, we all had the opportunity to have a tarot card reading and acupuncture from the lovely ladies of Magnolia Wellness. This was probably one of my most memorable moments from the trip. I learned from my reading I’m on the right path and during my acupuncture session had needles target my digestive health and stress.
Day 4: 3rd Day of Camp
The last day of camp was the most impactful! We had a delicious cooking demo led by @broccyourbody and made pumpkin protein balls. We had two workouts this day back to back led by Lindsey Harrod and Sami Clarke. Lindsey kick our booties (literally) with an awesome lower body workout and Sami helped us feel the burn and work on that six pack with an upper body and abs workout. The best part of this day was the evening. We all dressed in white and had a lovely fiesta under the moonlight. At the beginning of Camp we pulled a name out of a hat and had to get to know interesting facts about the girl’s name we pulled. I pulled Jess and funny enough we naturally gravitated towards each other and became good friends right away. We ended this beautiful night with an awards ceremony. Sami Clarke and I were honored to get kindest heart award.
Day 5: Travel Day
Started the last day off with Talia and got massages before our travel day. Which honestly is a game changer, relaxing at a spa before traveling might be one of my best ideas yet.
